Oh Canada! Games, Innovation and Radical Opportunity
Tanya is Vice-President of Policy and General Counsel for the Entertainment and Software Association of Canada where she is responsible for ensuring that Canada?s policies and legislation support Canada?s thriving multi-platform video game industry.
Over the last 15 years, she has worked on complex domestic and international legal and policy challenges for private and public entities in the UK, US and Canada. Prior to joining ESAC, Tanya represented Canada?s largest telecommunications and broadcasting company and served as a trade negotiator for the Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement.
Tanya is a technology law specialist and graduate of the London School of Economics, the University of Ottawa and American University Washington College of Law. She is also a co-founder of Girl Force (http://www.girlforce.ca/), a local volunteer organization teaching girls and women to make video games.
