Dominik Schönleben is responsible for the big "Gs" at WIRED: Games, geeks and gadgets. Within this cosmos, the virtual reality goggles were his favourite theme in 2016. He tested all VR devices for consumers, both high-end and also for Smartphones for WIRED. He additionally visited Germany's first VR cinema and spoke with Indie game developers about their ideas for this new medium. Dominik is convinced that now will prove to be the decisive point in time as to whether VR is going to become a mass phenomenon or a niche theme.
