Debatt(l)e Royale 2023

The "Debatt(l)e Royale" is one of the highlights of the gamescom week. Here, top politicians face the questions of the games community and take a stand on the most important topics of games and digital policy. These include games from Germany, the potential of games for artificial intelligence, esports and fan culture.

This year's panelists are Franziska Giffey (SPD), Nathanael Liminski (CDU), Emily Büning (Bündnis 90/Die Grünen) and Bijan Djir-Sarai (Secretary General, FDP). The debate will be moderated by Kim "Freiraumreh" Adam and Maxim Markow.

Anyone can contribute questions in advance using the hashtags #DebattleRoyale and #gcc23, for example on Twitter or Instagram, but can also actively participate in the chat during the talk. The debate will be held in Cologne on Thursday, August 24, 2023, starting at 5:00 p.m. and broadcast on www.gamescom-congress.de .
